LGBT Financial Planning
As a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community dealing with your finances shouldn’t be another time you need to navigate barriers. We believe that it is our responsibility to provide better financial planning for the LGBT community. We work to actively break down barriers for accessing financial advice for queer and trans people.
Financial planning is a process built on trust and understanding. It can be a point of vulnerability, especially if you’re already anxious or worried about financial matters. At Inclusive Financial Planning we believe that it’s our responsibility to provide inclusive and welcoming services to each of our clients. We know it’s important because we’ve faced those barriers ourselves. We’re providing financial advice for the LGBT community, from the community. Inclusive Financial Planning is a trans owned business, and Laura is one of the first openly trans and queer financial planners in Canada. We’re also available to help reduce barriers you might encounter outside of our services. We have a breadth of experience that can reduce the frustration and challenge of navigating the financial companies we all deal with.
We’re creating spaces that are open and welcoming, where you’re free to bring your authentic self and focus on the issues in front of you, and plan forward for your hopes and dreams.
We also work to support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as a whole. Inclusive Financial Planning is proud to support local pride initiatives from our home community of Truro, Nova Scotia as a sponsor for Truro Pride Week. Laura was one of the founders of the Truro Pride Society, and has volunteered with Truro Pride since 2019. Laura is also a member of the board for the Youth Project, a Nova Scotia based organization that supports queer and trans youth aged 12-25. Giving back to the community is a part of who we are, and the principles we’re built on.
